Families bereaved by homicide came together again on
19 November 2011 to support each other and make a difference
Our coalition of families bereaved by homicide, truly understand the loss of a loved one through murder. They come together in different ways to offer peer support to one another and to campaign for justice.
‘Family Days’ happen several times a year. They are spent coming together in a comfortable setting where conversation flows and a home cooked lunch is provided. New families are made welcome and get the chance to talk to others who are pleased to support them in their grief.
There are lots of memories that bring smiles in a setting where managing grief, the impact of crime and need for social change is something that can be freely discussed and experiences shared. We also focus on relaxation and developing well being.
